A lot needs to be done in this area. And we definitely could benefit from more use of mid-lines in the ICU setting. The failure rate overall was 12.5%, and then other significant complications reported were DBTs, dislodgement, occlusion, flibited and infiltration. It's important to know that every vascular access device can cause harm.
