Introduction

Tiberius had never been particularly happy with his role as Emperor. After the fall of Saginus though, Tiberius simply stopped looking for a partner to bear his burdens for him. The apparatus Augustus had set up turned out to be self-perpetuating enough to survive six years of utter neglect by his successor. He was famously obsessed with two things: purging Rome and indulging in his own increasingly inappropriate fetishes.
