The Work of the Work Ethic
Alex Castellanos: There's a contemporary manifestation of the work ethic, which has kind of cultural purchase. If you say socialist work ethic, what comes to my mind is kind of shtakan evights and heroic overachievers of Soviet industrialization he says. He adds that it seems redundant because enormous expansion of forces of production in an underdeveloped context isn't going to resolve our problems. Castellanos asks if post-industrial world could be seen as more absurd than pre-Industrialized world.
