The Imposition of Writing Systems
The idea that this invention, a like there could have been a first, a first mover. Some one had to be the first person somewhere in a given culture to use the rebus. It's notn it's not science fiction to see i that way. I definitely, the rebes was the first spark. You know, it takes a village to t to have a writing system in place and to make it usable and trans able. And then we tend to think of writing as built around bureaucracy and administration. There are many instances in which we can see writing adopted or invented for purposes other than that.
