Hubble's Discovery of the Andromeda Nebula
Edwin Hubble was an astronomer in the first half of the 20th century. One of his biggest discoveries was that there are other galaxies beyond our own. Today, we can pinpoint and study individual stars in Andromeda down to really exquisite detail. Here's Emily Levesque on the TED stage, showing a photo of the Vera Rubin Observatory in Chile.
