The Importance of Social Justice in Catholic Social Teaching
I think that using appending social to the word invites opportunities to manipulate that. I am just deeply suspicious of centralized bureaucratized power used in such a way. If you cut Jesus out of that equation, then it's a recipe for tyranny. The church always is going to understand that Christ first and and that becomes the point by which we orient everything else.
