The World Population Has Doubled in 50 Years, It Only Taken 15 Years.

By 18 30, world population reached one billion people. The second billion was added in the next hundred years. By 19 60, the fourth billion happened in 15 years. We are now just about to hit eight billion. So it has doubled in 50 years, from four billion to eight billion in roughly 50 years. Well, at the rate it was going before first it, it was doubling a hundred years, then it was doubling 30 years. Now it's doubling in from three billion to four billion. It only took 15 years. And then we have the benefit of looking back 50 years later, and it still grows. But the population is still growing quite a bit.
