Hemingway and the Iceberg Theory
Hemingway lived in the Latin Quarter of Paris with Ezra Pound, Pablo Picasso and Joan Moreau. Hemingway's writing style is described as hyper-specific and hyper-concrete. In 1923 he wrote a book called Death in the afternoon about his new theory of writing. His first bographer believed that as a writer of short stories, Hemingway learned how to get the most from the least.
