The Importance of Land in Rural India

Gaya in the very traditionally had a system of what we call aha and pine. After independence after independence in the name of food for work and all kind of anything did not really take place. The land irrigation which was traditionally done although it was done only to the people who had land who did not have the land so second then by making it capital intensive they made it more confined to the higher caste and therefore the poor became more poorer. People are migrating from rural village into urban area because as long as the profit in terms of policy is not there, poverty will remain.
