The most important idea of the gap year is to slow down and think about your life. Just read books on your own, by yourself, nobody telling you what to do. It's also a great way to realize what banya just said, which is that you're the master. I did not do a gap year. Why i i did go to college immediately after high school. There was programmed in my mind that i had to go to college. So i don't blame them for that - but it was the programming.
