The Relationship to Risk

I've read that the average like death is is one in every 500 jumps someone dies and to me those odds don't sound very appealing. I would say I've had about 1500 base jumps and 1500 skydives so that 3000 jumps kind of spans both of them so maybe 1500 in that risk category. My relationship to risk has shifted a lot and I have lost a number of friends Dean Dean was one of them.
