Gary Lineker: I think a tweet like this, something especially when it comes to immigration, has just changed the narrative slightly. He said it was an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not similar to that Jews by Germany in the 30s. It also suits the British government for everybody to be talking about this rather than the actual policy. And they need somebody to discuss that. The BBC seemed to be backing him and may not have been surprised. But I think he used his position to get his point across - which you can agree with or not agree with but he has everybody talking.
