The Role of the Constitution in Constitutionalism

In our system in Australia we pursue constitutionalism through a constitution. And what makes our constitution different from regular laws, right? The government is limited by law, that's the idea of constitutionalism. But on top of regular laws we also have this thing called the constitution. So there are certain rules, certain baselines, certain principles that we say these are beyond being changed in the usual way and the way that law can be changed. These are somehow more enduring.
