Let's Learn Everything!

CHAPTER

Kleptoparasitism

There are instances of kleptoparasitism where animals steal from plants. Some species of sacroglosin C slug will eat algae and incorporate the algae's chloroplasts into their digestive lining. So they can actually go months at a time without eating because they're just using the energy produced by these organellals that are slowly degrading inside them. But you can also look at other things like floral lassani, which is where an animal takes nectar or pollen from a flower but not pollinating it.
