How I Got Into Blockchain Technology

I stumbled into blockchain technology around 2015 or thereabouts when the Ethereum mainnet was first launched. I had some colleagues in the financial services industry who were constantly telling me about this thing called Bitcoin. And I was also involved in some supply chains and cross-border trade where product authentication and payments were problems. The promise of smart contracts deployed on blockchains seemed like a way of solving these two problems in one go.
