Signorita Maldonato's Death in the Jungle

Signorita maldonado shuddered at the sight of an older gentleman slirping up a leather shoelace. No amount of sauce would make that appetizing. The young woman bawled her fist, slipped out through a gap in the wall of stakes and disappeared into the trees. It was their first time beyond camp, and the new land was wild and exciting in a scary, bewildering sort of way. Small critters skittered about, unseen masses called out to one another, and large, thundering creatures like ostriches crashed out of nowhere.
