The Governor's Threats to the California School Board

The state's population decline is attributed to an ongoing exodus of residents, with over half a million people leaving between January 2020 and July 2022. The decline in population could have significant impact on California's tax bases, tax base, and political representation by 2023. Governor Gavin Newsom threatened the school board with a one and a half million dollar fine for not adhering to a 2011 California law that mandates teaching about LGBTQ historical figures in school. Temecula approved the use of the textbook social studies alive with more with some modifications to ensure age appropriate content. A person a parent can sit there and say, I'm not going anywhere. No problem. I'm going to fight this fight.
