E-Bike 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 - What's the Background?
When I started, and I left McLaren in 2002, we were an e-bike 1.0. It was a low-cost former transport, lead-acid battery, big motor,. very efficient and utilitarian-based. Because of the fundamental benefits of these things, they started to filter over to Europe in the Chinese form. Even in the US, you had pioneers like Liya Koka, who was way before his time trying to sell e-bikes through car dealerships. He'd probably be hugely successful. But the e-bike- I don't know if that whole story is true.
