The Banality of Evil
In the mid 1930s, the Nazis began to provide military style training to uniform police. After 1939, they sent dozens of police battalions east to support the war against Jewish Bolshevism. The Reserve Police Battalion 101 was made up of the German equivalent of city policemen and county sheriff's deputies. Men who are charged with keeping the peace were in turn killing infants because the infants couldn't walk. Their charge was very simple. It's like get all these people, put them all in these boxcars. They are going somewhere where they are going as irrelevant and they did their job.
