The premise that abusive behavior results in better performance is just plain wrong. The conversation often goes like, is there a level of success? And i think what's going on is well underneath it all. These are people who are trying to create urgency in very difficult settings. It starts with people not being civil to each other and builds up until you begin to throw binders in.
