Do You Have a Genealist Mind?
I'm still a generativist in terms of that opinion. I could not go into the field and do work on languages and not feel like something needed to be done. It is on every linguist to make sure that the data that they have is accessible to the people who need it. And don't get me wrong, I love working on language puzzles and I will do it all the time.
