Why Aren't Young People Wanting to Join the Military?

The military is having trouble recruiting enough young people to join the military. Why? It's no longer what it once was to be a hero, a figure in the military. The difference between 911 and the pandemic: There's a 911 unified America against a common enemy. Pandemic didn't unified America; they could've unified and made China the common enemy. But the pandemic actually divided and the common enemy became President.
