What's the Difference Between the Social Model and the Trauma Informed Approach to Mental Health?

The trauma informed approach to mental health is the only one which completely situates the issues and difficulties outside of the human brain. In all the other models, it still serves societal control to tell people that their problems are in their heads and they have an illness that needs to be treated. This would look like a woman who has maybe been sex trafficked since she was 14 years old and maybe she slept with some really attractive looking guys. A trauma informed therapist would help her understand that even if you enjoyed yourself or told yourself at the time you were enjoying yourself, you weren't old enough to make those decisions.
