The Warming Trend in Europe in the Tenth and Eleventh Centuries

In the mediaeval warm period, there was more intense radia on from the sun. All sorts of land that had previously been marginal and too hard to cultivate became accessible. It made all kinds of land all round europe a more accessible and easier to cultivate. People started producing and using far more iron tools,. particularly heavy ploughs than had been possible in the roman era. They invented horse collars which allowed them to use horses instead of oxen for heavier work. There were also developments in windmills and watermills so people could process large amounts of grain much more easily.
