Heisenberg discovered that Newton's classical physics didn't work when it came to the world on the scale of atoms. Instead of attempting to write equations describing what atoms did, Heisenberg wrote equations that described what he could observe. These equations helped lay the foundations of quantum physics and totally changed the way we understand the physical world.

In the final episode of this Tech Tonic series, we hear how radical quantum ideas are reshaping our fundamental understanding of the universe.
