The Stoic God Is a Source of All Order and Activity
The stoic god is not only a source of all order and activity, which steers all things, like heraclitus thunderbolt. He could hardly be more unlike the epicurean gods, who are envisioned as uninvolved, remote entities living in detached bliss. The stoics agree with aristotle and most other ancient philosophers in thinking of the cosmos as spherical. They accept a system of four elements, air, earth, fire and water.
