What Do These Mega Rounds Mean for Companies?
In the past a year or so, its been like this billion dollar round mega rounds. This is really changing the game, because now private companies have access to an amount of capital which was only available to public companies in the past. When you have a billion dollar plus of cash on your balant sheet, you cannot say, i'm going to operate as usual and burn 50 million this year. You need to put that money to work. And so companies are under a lot more pressure to hir fast a, so that they can grow their business.
