Facebook's Open Source Strategy
I can't speak to Facebook specifically, but I have worked with a lot of large companies and I'm happy to talk about my general experiences with them. People often try to prescribe or predict certain things that large companies do as either caring about open source or having a specific intentionality behind open source. Coming from the inside, that's not actually the way it works out. Large company decision making is often fraught with a lotof paralysis associated with too many cooks in the kitchen, too many stakeholders.
