i think that it's so important to respect the child's face and their body. They're the owner of their body, and they really get saying what and who they want to hug and give affection to. And a, you know, when i have parents in my class that'll say, give nocol a hug, i'll immediately say, would you like a hug? Or maybe a high five? So that i'm kind of giving them an option to am do what they'd like. And if they tell me no, that's fine too. You know, toddlers are a they keep me very humble.
