The Velvet's in San Francisco - It's Like You Again
The Velvet Underground were booked to play at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco by promoter Bill Graham. The band didn't get a great deal of respect when they first played there, says singer Edie Boudreau. "It's like you're following us everywhere," he recalls Paul Morrissey telling him about heroin and how it was better for musicians than LSD. A New Yorker is what are we hating? It's mostly Miss Indian Roles, God's given her that name.
