The Disagreement Between Progressive and Classical Liberalism
The ACLU and all these organizations, you never saw them sort of not caring about the kind of systematic violation of free speech that this is. They figured out that if they dry up the money, then they could dry up the speech. This is very clear because if drying up the money didn't dry up any speech, they wouldn't want to do it. The direct intent is to dry up political speech. It's to do it and to protect their jobs and to protect what they think of as their political discourse.
