I Don't Know How to Interpret the Metaphoric View
I don't know how to read that ending either. I think the generally accepted interpretation is that it wasn't. It's essentially, she's more killing a part of herself than literally killing this man. She just sits there kind of motionless, uh, pensive, not knowing what to do. And that's exciting as well as scary.
