The Thwaites Glacier

The thwaites glacier is a giant drainage basin that flows from the land to the sea. Warm water under the ice shelf is softening the ice, so enormous crac are forming across nearly its entire expanse. A lot of glacial ice, including ice on land, could suddenly head for the ocean if the ice shelf collapses.
