What Is Genesis?

Genesis starts out with the word of god creating being from chaos. The idea is that logos, which is something like consciousness and something like speech, has the power to pull order out of an underlying chaos. And so that means that, from the perspective of this book, consciousness itself plays a world constructing role. H i suppose, in some sense, why we're hypothetically made in the image of god. We use our consciousness to constantly construct being out of chaos.
