i was working with sudanese refugees in cairo in two thousand four, and obviously, piccoin didn't exist back then. There was nothing like it. And so to me it seems quite obvious that a kind of global store of wealth that is not connected to a state has really interesting and powerful properties. In times of great upheaval, having these sort of alternatives outside of the the state system is going to be something that it's very hard for me to see how that doesn't persist and continue to be explored.
