The Contradiction of National Liberation Movements in Eritrea
The emergence of countries like Eritrea and South Sudan have been very discouraging models for the creation of new states. I think it also has something to do with the project of national liberation in a lot of places, being like, oh, we'll take kind of the boundaries of the colonial state. So oftentimes these sessions would have just gone fundamentally against the idea that's even driving some of these national liberation movements.
