I Don't Want You to Worry About the Epicureans

The epicureans are sometimes con used with this other school, and so i don't want you to worry about them. The syrenaics were led by a guy named aristippus. Aristippus held the view that the best way to live is just live a pleasant life. Pleasure, physical pleasure, is the highest aim you should be shooting for. But if what you're after is pleasure, you're not going to get there by just going out getting drunk every night. That's not how you bring about pleasure. So the epicurean s were a school that said we should aim at pleasure, but we should aimed at it intelligently.
