The next big massacre is the Saint Bartolome Day Massacre in Paris, which is 10 years later in 1572. Catherine de Medici tries to bring together groups of clergy from the Roman Catholic Church and from the Reformed Church. There are approximately 200 Roman Catholics and 40 Protestant clergy who meet in this gathering. The idea was if they could agree on the theological points, which seems to be kind of silly because the whole idea of being Protestant was that they don't agree anymore on certain theological points.
