The Importance of Affect

If emotion is something that our brain creates, then can we will ourselves to feel emotions differently? I mean, how much control do we actually have over our emotions? Well, I would say that we definitely can, but it's much harder to do than actually sometimes we make it out to be. You know, emotions are easier to change. Affect is not as easy to change in the moment. Regardless of whether you're emotional or not, you feel affect. The capacity to have affect is universal.
