Are You Thinking About Doing a PhD?
If we're not building up the church in some way then we've failed at our task of being a seminary. How would you counsel pastors who are thinking about doing a master of divinity and then thinking about going on to PhD work? Some think well I've got my own div I'm basically trained to be a pastor I don't need a PhD others feel like a PhD is something they should pursue even if they're not going to teach.
