The Importance of Experience in Politics
I think what's actually more important than age is experience and what you have to offer. One of the great curses of British politics right now is this whole cast of professional politicians who've never done anything else. I don't know how this latest, kid, little kid is going to shape up. It might be useful at a time when young people are feeling particularly frustrated about political representation to have more young MPs. 25, I believe, is when your brain actually achieves proper adulthood.
