The Water-to-Land Transition?

The transition from fish to tetrapods occurred 358 million years ago. The earliest terrestrial biota with vertebrates in it that we can look at is the Midland Valley of Scotland. We have to think of a variety of different kinds of environments being occupied by these fish-tetrapod transitional forms, says Bob Greene.
