The Importance of Topic Garden for Medical Data
I was giving a talk at IBM research. There was this lady from the audience who came up to me after and said, you know, topic garden, I think it would be perfect for my medical data. And then we discussed her data and it was, it had the same, you can put it in the same framework as documents. It turned out to work very well in terms of learning patient representations and hospital readmission prediction. Just by casting a patient as a document.
