The Liquid Wheel, the Effects Cassette and the Picture Wheel

The Liquid Wheel was three very thin six-inch diameter discs that were glued together. The motor effectively caused the liquids to flow and move around in an unrepeatable pattern. Pink Floyd's early lighting operators lived in a flat with Sid Barrett as his lodger. I showed him what I had done with his large ball roast. He actually smacked his head. That was called an effect cassette. Apart from the black and white moire effect, they developed other different patterns in the moire.
