Having One Drink to Night?

We are going to be toasting john allen. As we draw this, as we say good by to this season, i'm reminded of what c s. Lewis said to sheldon van ochen, christians never say good bye. And while i appreciate his sentiment, i think lewis was wrong about that, because good bye is a contraction, in english, of the blessing, god be with ye.
