There's a load of subtext in this scene. The fact that Bernard reported her visit to judicial, the fact that the mayor doesn't trust judicial is perhaps thinking the pastry is poisoned. And then common at the end, eats the strawberry while making eye contact with the mayor, almost sort of making it a point like it's not poison. What are you thinking? Also I thought the opening line was very cheesy. You do not want to eat this. One bite of this could be habit forming. Almost as cheesy as the doctor's line when he goes, I have a baby I must turn over. He spoke so robotically, Juliet's dead. That's so weird. How busy
