i would argue, and i am curious what your thoughts are in this, that turkey has been oriented more westward during the course of the last 70 years from a security standpoint. I don't actually know thoug my head. Maybe you can tell us when turkey joined nado,. Its positioning in nado has been an important part of its geo strategic positioning over all in the world. And for a long time, turkey was also vying to join the european union. The fact that that eventually didn't happen has also had implications for its orientation.
