The Importance of Community in the Episcopal Church

I grew up Southern Baptist and those who are familiar with an American context understand that that is a focus on scripture, rather low church and worship style. I'm married to a church organist, so a musician, and so he was becoming more and more interested in liturgy at the older and older we got. And so kind of through his academic studies, we found our way into more liturgical churches. We taught at Indiana Wesleyan University and visited around some churches were invited to a local Episcopal parish and just felt like we were coming home. So that question of what attracted us, I think for us, we appreciated the communal focus.
