The Problem With Disabled People
I can't think of an example of a disabled person who's married who isn't dead by the end. The fact there's no obvious example is really telling, isn't it? When I first became disabled, people would think it was okay to stand and bust up and ask me about my medical condition. You wouldn't ask someone about their sex life or their, you know, how much money they've got in the bank or whatever. So why do you ask for personal medical information? It feels like when we're disabled people around there, there's a role that we're meant to be fulfilling for people. And one of those is that the normal barriers of sometimes are sort of broken
