John Bellamy Foster: I try and take a non-sectarian approach to this tradition. There's clearly a rift, sorry, to use that language between a kind of Jason Moore position, the web of life. And then metabolic rift theory approach from John Bellamy Foster in the monthly review school. So I'm inspired by both of those and I have my criticisms of both. But they're both doing an ecological way, which I think is immensely fruitful. It helps us understand what we do when we struggle and how we're within our own society.
